This is now the seventh volume of the handsome revised edition of the Rabbinic Bible, known also as the Mikraot Gedolot. The first volume, Joshua, judges, appeared in 1992. It was followed by / & II Samuel (1993), i & II Kings (1995), Isaiah (1996), Genesis: Part I (1997) and Genesis: Part II (2000). The Book of Exodus is in press. The editor of all these volumes, Menachem Cohen, along with the faculty of Jewish Studies of Bar-Ilan University, is to be commended for producing this revised and augmented scientific edition. The Hebrew text of the Bible is based on the KeterAram Zobah (Aleppo Codex). The texts used for the targumim are either Targum Onkelos (Genesis) or Targum Jonathan (all the others published so far).
