Job Search Resources
The most effective ways to find jobs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are through the use of online resources, local newspaper classifieds and job/field-related trade magazines. Internet job searching resources are by far the easiest to use for those skilled with computer and Internet searching. Jobseekers can access online job websites and recruiters to search for jobs under categories of interest. They can even customize searches with desired parameters such as salary and position title. In addition, they can conduct employer research and visit company websites to research organizations, browse job listings and apply online. Résumé/CV postings and job databases allow jobseekers to receive Job Alerts by email and attend virtual and live career job fairs.

Trade magazines also frequently include research data that identify the latest trends in the field, which could help the jobseeker to focus on the type of job with the best match. Finally, companies are more likely to advertise job positions in trade magazines than in newspapers because they can better target the type of candidate they want.
