Nancy Nolan and husband Stephen Lanford were at first hesitant to move to Little Rock from Atlanta. But once they got their photography business, Nola Studio, up and running in the capital city, they knew they had made the right decision.
Lanford and Nolan, who attended the Art Institute in Atlanta, work on both local and national accounts doing interior and architectural photography. The pair also does executive portraits.
Most recently, the photographers have been asked to do estate portraits. Nolan currently is photographing a family homestead in El Dorado. These photographs won't be published, just displayed in the family's home, Nolan said.
Nola Studio also does fine art portraits, fashion photography and black-and-white photos.
Though Nolan and Lanford enjoy working out of a renovated garage studio on Louisiana Street, the pair will move the operation to their new home's ground floor in September. The house, which is nestled 'in the Quapaw Quarter, once belonged to Townsend Wolfe, the retired director and chief curator of the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, Nolan said.
Nola Studio is fully digitalized in its photography, from the photo shoot to the printing. Clients may come in for a portrait and walk out with their photo on a disk. It's that convenient, Nolan said.
