FOUR NEW BOARD MEMBERS HAVE been elected to serve four-year terms on TCG's board of directors. The new members are:
Carol Brown, who is a director of Mellon Financial Services Corporation and a consultant to the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. From 1986 to 2001, Brown served as president of the trust, a nonprofit organization aimed at fostering the cultural and economic growth of the region through the development of downtown Pittsburgh. During her years in the post, Brown oversaw the renovation of several prominent theatre buildings and supervised the design and completion of the Allegheny Riverfront Park and the O'Reilly Theater. Among a slew of awards, she has been named Pittsburgh Woman of the Year (1992) and has received the Arts Leadership Award of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (2000), as well as community leadership awards from the Jewish National Fund, Catholic Charities and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.
