Sony Electronics (San Diego, California) offers its professional CRT display line, which includes the Multiscan F520 21-inch (19.8-inch viewable image size) display. It features Sony's exclusive FD Trinitron virtually flat CRT and a 0.22 turn aperture grille pitch - said to be the smallest in the industry. Intended for CAD/CAM engineers, it is described as applying Sony's HiDensity electron gun with Enhanced Elliptical Correction System to improve image clarity and precision while "virtually eliminating" image distortion, especially in the corners. Sony's Advanced Active Signal Correction is said to automatically size and center the screen image as well as monitor the video signal input and adjust image attributes. The F520 has a 2048 x 1536 resolution at 85 Hz and comes with a USB hub for easy connectivity with other peripherals. A Smart Cable design angles the dual input connectors downward to maximize desk space usage.
