Delrina Corp. of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, moves off VTSN's stock chart this week as it completes its $415 million merger with Symantec Corp. of Cupertino, Calif. Symantec expects its purchase to help expand its core product base of tools and utilities software to the Internet. Delrina is known for making fax and communications software for the Windows platform. It took a hard revenue hit this year when Windows 95 failed to ship on time, as customers waited to get the new operating system before buying new applications. Building for Windows Delrina met one of Symantec's contract stipulations when it shipped its multimedia communications product, WinFax Pro for Windows, Nov. 15. WinFax Pro allows users to combine voice and data on personal computers to handle voice and electronic messaging. The company also better positioned itself in the Internet marketplace when it released its Cyberjack Internet client at last month's Internet World show in Boston.
