Local section leader focuses on communication

AIChE's local section leaders continue to play a vital role in helping AIChE fulfill its vision and mission. Addressing the specific needs and concerns of chemical engineers in the community, understanding their local interests and perspectives, and inspiring their participation and motivation on a grassroots level defines this role. Making the time to be active in this capacity presents an additional challenge. Karen Andreshak, past-chair of the active St. Louis Section and the current secretary of the Local Section Executive Committee, successfully balances a career, home, and involvement in AIChE.
