People who live in glass houses do throw stones, and one ofthe hardest hitters must surely have been Dr. Edith Farnsworth, who commissioned the well-known glass house by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe that bears her name in Piano, Illinois. Dr. Farnsworth lobbed her missiles at the architect himself, whom she sued for incompetence after he had sued her for construction costs
