Phillips Business Information, Inc. (PBI), publisher of SATELLITE NEWS, MOBILE SATELLITE NEWS, GLOBAL POSITIONING & NAVIGATION NEWS and Via Satellite magazine, will sponsor "Introduction to Satellite Technology: A Seminar for Non-technical Managers and Executives," Nov. 8-10, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Crystal City, Va., outside of Washington, D.C. The seminar, now in its 12th year, again will be conducted by long- time satellite, telecommunications and space science consultant Dr. Mark Chartrand. The three-day seminar will cover communications basics, overviews of space segment, ground segment as well as satellite communications applications and markets. The cost of the seminar (including the optional third day which focuses on hardware, geometrical and signal loss calculations) is $1,295. The two-day course is $895. The cost of just the third day is $495. There also is a $100 team discount per person for colleagues from the same firm registering and paying at the same time.
