From the Chicago Dramatists program:
Since 1979, Chicago Dramatists' mission has stayed true and fast: to discover and develop the playwrights of the future.
Working with over 500 playwrights annually, Chicago Dramatists' most important sign of achievement is its nurturing of compelling, challenging and diverse plays that move on to productions, earn awards, and define the American theatre. Last year, our plays earned over 700 productions, awards, readings or festival presentations, helping enrich the lives of thousands of theatre patrons across the country, exporting Chicago voices to the nation, and boosting Chicago Dramatists' status as one of the nation's foremost new play development theatres.
This season, 31 Chicago playwrights make up our Resident Playwrights' Program, while our associate membership program - The Playwrights' Network - serves more than 240 writers, nationwide. Chicago Dramatists also nurtures playwrights and new plays through our Playwrights Studio classes, the popular 10-Minute Workshop, Educational Outreach programs, and The Saturday Series."

Bradsford is not as professionally respected as Sara, but holds a tenured position in the Sociology department of her institution. He is a hard worker, though not terribly ambitious. He has...
