Let us be crystal clear: Rabbi Dan Cohn-Sherbok's recent decision to speak before Messianic Jewish leaders was without sanction of the Reform movement, which gave him ordination. (See: "Questionable Credibility" page 12). Reform Judaism and its leadership does not recognize nor does it validate Messianic Judaism. Rabbi Cohn-Sherbok, the author of "Messianic Judaism," decided to make this controversial address to the Midwest gathering on his own.
