Rory, Set, Learn! Chevy Chase's Rory Zuckerman is the star of her own educational shows for children.
Family means more to Rory Zuckerman than she can describe. As a mother of two sons, ages 14 and 9, she crams in as much time with her boys as she can, taking pleasure in things many loathe.
"I try to be a good room," she said. "I enjoy every minute that I spend with them, even picking up carpool."
So it was really no surprise that Ms. Zuckerman, 39, a Chevy Chase resident, began writing and performing children's songs when she found a dearth of quality children's programming when her oldest son was still a toddler.
What began with testing out material on his Gan Hayeled nursery school at the Conservative Adas Israel Congregation in Washington, D.C., has blossomed into a successful career as a children's entertainer.
