Laurie Fiori Hacking was named executive director of the $53 billion Public Employees Retirement System of Ohio, Columbus. She most recently had been a retirement system specialist at Springfield, Ill.-based Levi, Ray & Shoup near where her husband, James Hacking, continues to work as the executive director of the State Universities Retirement System of Illinois in Champaign.
Commuting between Ohio and Illinois isn't new for Ms. Hacking, who previously had been pension fund manager for the City of Cincinnati Retirement Systems.
At the Ohio fund, Ms. Hacking replaces Richard Schumacher, who retired. Danny L. Drake, who was interim executive director, will continue his duties...
