Keum Na-na, a Harvard graduate and former Miss Korea, was named as an honorary ambassador for ASEAN-Korea dialogue, Friday, on the 30th anniversary of its establishment.
Keum, now an assistant professor at Dongguk University, will join and promote nationwide anniversary projects through November when a commemorative summit for the leaders of Korea and 10 ASEAN countries is scheduled to take place in Busan.
The major anniversary projects are the ASEAN Week cultural festival in Seoul from June 14 to 16; the ASEAN Train ride from the Demilitarized Zone to Seoul, Busan, Gwangju and other major cities in October; as well as the ASEAN-Korea Export-Import Fair and ASEAN-Korea Startup Summit for startup owners, both to be held in Busan in November.
