After acquiring a big chunk of Farberware in 1996, Lifetime Hoan last week moved to further consolidate control of the brand with a second acquisition.
The Westbury maker of kitchenware and appliances and Boston- based Syratech initially acquired the Farberware brand in 1996, splitting up the rights to the name for various products. Lifetime Hoan's cut included the rights to the name for everything from cutlery to barbecue accessories, cutting boards to spices and salt and pepper grinders.
