It's been another busy week for TINTA, with its board okaying the Liberty buyback and new family status as a wholly-owned TCI subsidiary; and the company purchasing Eduardo Eurnekian's Pramer company. Grabbing Pramer's programming assets, including Magic Kids, is the referred-to-shoe-falling that TINTA President and CEO David Evans mentioned in an April interview: "You can create programming assets quickly and it doesn't require nearly as much capital as it does to construct a distribution platform." As for bringing a large and varied Hispanic program package to its digital viewers - sounds like a pretty good plan, not to mention the other unrealized distribution opportunities within Latin American markets.
