2. Three new DORMA bedwear designs and a new range of plain, textured wallcoverings will make their debut at Heimtex. Julienne is an elegant floral inspired by17th century botanical drawings, in pinks, lilacs, golds and whites on ivory. It reverses to a cream and gold strie with green foliage. In contrast, the contemporary Mirage Gold, shown, combines an abstract horizontal stripe with freely-drawn scrollwork and leaf in muted yellows, golds and mint, and Madras checks spice up the cushion covers and pillowcases. Meanwhile, Lilac Mirage presents the design elements of Mirage in a pale lime and lilac colourway. All the bedwear designs are offered with a range of innovative accessories.
1. Eight different woven fabrics, all featuring different textures, come together in WILSON WILCOX's new Talisman collection on show at Heimtex. Chenille jacquards combine with colour-woven checks and dobbies, piece-dyed plains and washed shabby chenille damasks to provide over 30 different options. The fabrics are grouped into five colour stories, Antique, Spice, Gold, Regatta and Natural, and all are suitable for drapes and domestic upholstery.
5. TYRONE TEXTILES will be showing examples of its ranges which bring together printed voiles and matching and coordinating satin and jacquard fabrics. They are offered in a wide colour spectrum, from soft pastels to bright acid shades. Shown is a room-set in fabrics from the Global collection of Trevira CS FR fabrics. The company, which will be exhibiting with Gardisette, will also launch its Island collection.
Key players from the world's home furnishings industries will converge on Frankfurt early next year for the last Heimtextil exhibition of this millennium. If you're looking for the newest ideas in fabrics, bedwear, wallcoverings and accessories you can't afford not to be there, January 13 to 16,1999.
* New colours will feature strongly within CHRISTY's Heimtex towel launches.
Kiwi, Nettle and Blackberry join the Renaissance Egyptian cotton range, Beetroot and Dragon Red are new within Panache, while Vanilla, Bracken, Dewberry and Acorn are added to the super-absorbent Arcadian collection. Other new introductions are an embellished towel, a jacquard, Hector Hare for children, and Tie Dye, a replacement to the beach towel.

* Catering for many years for the specialist, short-run, decorative end of the market, IVO PRINTS is now extending its commission textile printing activities by producing and adapting its ranges for a variety of markets. The company's service includes design creation, short-run hand prints, high-volume flatbed and rotary prints and offering various finishes including flame retarding.
3 and 4. The mark-making from Japanese Zen painting and ceramics and the textures of grass, leaves and water inspire MONKWELL's new Saimaro collection of eight prints and eight weaves, shown (3). Complementing it, shown (4), is Saimaro Elements, a range of natural weaves offering a variety of textures such as cotton, linen, suede and wool. They are suitable for both curtain and upholstery use.

6. Amongst a number of new collections from VYMURA will be Elements, from which Serenity is shown here. It combines themes that balance the simplicity of nature with artisan design, comprising a flowing stencilled rose with delicate scrollwork and trailing leaves, a filigree highlighted in metallic inks and a soft geometric group. The range is given cohesion by the themes that are present in each design story.
Other new collections include the ornate and traditional Portraits in Silk, Beyond Paint textural paint effects, and Masquerade II.
7 and 8. CROWSON FABRICS' new Zen collection, shown (7), draws inspiration from the minimalist and tranquil Japanese lifestyle. The five designs are essentially abstract, and are represented in colours of chocolate, buttermilk, terracotta, blue and green contrasting with neutral hues. There is also a striking silver and charcoal combination. The fabrics are 100% cotton.
Also new from Crowson is Indian Summer, shown (8), reminiscent of Indian architecture and nature. In rich colours of spice and exotic fruit, the five printed designs include a soft flowing trail, a traditional Indian tile and an architectural trellis, and are accompanied by upholstery jacquards, chenilles and printed voiles plus wallpapers and borders.
* FINE DECOR's showpiece will be Tierra, a new concept from designer Diane Harrison, which explores a wealth of rich, textural effects woven through fabrics, vinyl wallcoverings and borders. It will also show new Ceroc, a collection of contemporary motifs, stripes and paint effects on wallpapers, borders and fabrics.
9. Everest is a new voile from the Sheer Elegance collection by ASHLEY WILDE. It is available in 12 high-fashion colours.
* JOHN BOYD TEXTILES, which weaves horsehair fabrics using looms and techniques dating back to 1870, will introduce many new weaves and contemporary colours as well as additions to its hand-embroidered horsehair designs. The fabrics are suitable for both classical and modern upholstery.
* JOHN WILMAN's new woven range, The Colour Source Book, comprises a washable piece-dyed jacquard, a crewel style and a piece-dyed polycotton figured design. Also on display wil be the classical, romantic new Chatelaine collection of six printed designs, and a contemporary collection called Andalucia. This comprises five printed designs featuring subtle abstract paint effects in stripes, blocks and scrolls,complemented by plain textural weaves and voiles.
10. PARKER KNOLL will be showing its major new collection,Balmasque, comprising a comprehensive selection of decorative curtain and upholstery fabrics and wallpapers in subdued shades. The three pattern books are Balmasque Prints, Balmasque Weaves and Balmasque Wallpapers, and the six colour palettes Teal, Ebony & Ivory, Old Rose, Tapestry, Mahogany and Amber.
11. An Oriental flavour permeates through PRESTIGIOUS TEXTILES' stand at Heimtex as the company develops Eastern-inspired motifs and styling for several of its latest collections of fabrics for upholstery,drapes and accessories. The Dynasty collection, shown, is a family of cotton satin prints which set Chinese-style calligraphy on a brushed silk-effect background, complemented by a voile. Much of the artistry is picked out in gold, with the motifs set in broad, formal stripes in Java and within checks in Tang. There are also an all-over design and a semi-plain, and all are in warm, contemporary colourways.
The company will also show new kitchen textiles, children's prints, voiles and damasks.
12. FRASTAN, which manufactures rewinding and finishing machinery principally for the wallcoverings industry, will be putting its emphasis on its double-headed wallpaper rewinder, shown. It allows rolls to be produced at a constant speed, which can be linked to line speed; long creepers and accumulators are not required. With operating speeds of up to 300m/minute, the system can process all types of paper, such as blown vinyls or cold embossed plain, and it incorporates an automatic web jam clearing unit. The company will also highlight its fully-automatic, completely integrated wallpaper finishing line.
13. BRITISH TRIMMINGS will be launching its New International collection, Jaipur, at Heimtex. Featuring a striking contrast of matt spun rayon yarns and shiny filament viscose, the range is offered in 36 colourways and presents plenty of opportunities for mix and match.
It also, for the first time, includes an onion fringe. Accessories in mixture yarns complete the range.
* FORBO-CP's new Readyroll Quick-Sticks are self-adhesive stickers which are repositionable and removable, providing an instant inexpensive decorating idea. Eight brightly-coloured children's designs have been launched. There will also be new designs for Fablon, Readyroll borders and Readyroll Big Borders.
