The Ontario government has launched a Web site to help students entering jobs in construction and other industries get information about safety and employment standards.
The site is at: www.WorkSmartOntario.gov.on.ca.
It was announced recently by Labour Minister Brad Clark.
The site--dubbed WorkSmart Ontario--is the first by government to offer young people comprehensive information on both workplace health and safety and employment standards.
Clark told about 1,000 students at an Industrial Accident Prevention Association conference and trade show in Toronto that there is no valid reason for any injury or death to occur in a workplace.
