TORONTO--The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board is getting a new boss.
David Williams, a leading executive who has spent 35 years in the food industry, has been named the board's new president and chief executive officer.
The appointment was announced last week by Ontario Labor Minister Jim Flaherty.
Williams is currently the executive vice-president of the George Weston Group and Loblaw Companies Ltd. He takes over the new position May 1.
Williams replaces Michael O'Keefe who resigned from the top job at the board last December.
