Worldwide Computer Products News-9 March 2001-SurfControl releases Cyber Patrol 5.0 (C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http:// www.m2.com Internet filtering solutions company SurfControl has launched Cyber Patrol 5.0 for Windows for the consumer market. The latest version of SurfControl's customisable filtering software features enhanced security, improved tamper resistance and a new feature which allows parents to test the settings for fine tuning and to judge their effectiveness. It also includes ChatGARD, which is designed to prevent children from divulging personal information online. Parents can customise the settings of Cyber Patrol for each child in the household. The software ranks questionable sites according to one of twelve list categories, and these individual categories can be activated or turned off by parents depending on the child.
