If you've always wanted to record what's been written on a whiteboard but didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on specialized hardware, Electronics for Imaging's innovative eBeam is worth a try. This portable device attaches to almost any whiteboard and works with a Windows-based computer to record anything written on the board. It doesn't do everything expensive interactive whiteboards can do, but its a Low-cost, solid alternative.
Its the hardware
The eBeam consists of two receivers, each about the size of a deck of cards. Attach them by their suction cups to opposite upper comers of any whiteboard, connect the computer and power cabLes, insert batteries in the pen holders and install the software. Then you're ready.
The device's pen holders accept standard whiteboard markers. As you write, the software automatically records the pen holders movements and recreates the picture. In my tests, I found that the eBeam system...
