Ongoing development means new luxury hotels will offer even more choice to groups in 2004
Mauritius is well-served by four- and five-star hotels that are constantly being upgraded and refurbished. Yet high occupancies and rising demand have triggered the construction of additional luxury properties.
The Taj Group is making its first appearance in Mauritius with the 78-room Taj Exotica Resort & Spa scheduled to open in November 2004 adjacent to the Sofitel Imperial hotel on the west coast.
The 100-room four-star Le Suffren Hotel & Yacht Club, owned by the Indigo Group, is due to open in June 2004 on the Caudan Waterfront near the Labourdonnais hotel in Port Louis.
