Microsoft Corp.'s (www.microsoft.com) SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition and Windows 2000 Datacenter Server have demonstrated their scalability and price performance benefits in new line-of-business and e-commerce benchmarks ruff on Intel-- based hardware from Unisys Corp. and IBM Corp.
These results are available at www.microsoft.com/sql/worldrecord/. On the TPC-C results list, SQL Server now holds the Number one position, four of the top five, and five of the top 10 results. Microsoft Windows 2000 holds six of the top 10 results.
A 24-processor Unisys e@action Enterprise Server ES7000 (www.unisys. com) achieved a new world record for mySAP.com performance on a Windowsbased server, supporting 14,400 mySAP. com Sales and Distribution benchmark users on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server and SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition.
