Yahoo webmail and searches have a lot to offer, say Dr Tamseel Awan and Dr Bryan Palmer
The advantage of using webmall, writes Dr Tamseel Awan, is that e-mails are available to be received and sent from any computer in the world that is connected to the internet. In almost all cases, it's free as well (funding comes from advertising).
The downside, however, is that it does not allow you to store your e-mails on your personal computer, unless you pay a fee, so once you delete an e-mail, it is lost.
Depending on your requirements, webmail can work out just fine especially if you are on the move a lot and want an easy-to-remember e-mail address to stay in touch.
I have more than a dozen e-mail accounts, but Yahoo is my favourite webmail provider.
It has a simple interface, good colour combination, no huge graphics and pages load quite quickly.
It also gives you loads of web space. I signed up with Yahoo almost a decade ago when it allocated mailboxes of 6MB. However new accounts are given 4MB, which is still better than most other contenders....
