Wates Construction hires director for North West England

UK contractor Wates Construction has appointed David Saville as a business unit director for the North West region of England.

Saville has more than 20 years’ project experience and specialises in the education, retail, government and health sectors.

He joins Wates from John Sisk and Son, where he worked as North West regional director for more than three years. In this role, he led private sector development projects in the high rise residential and commercial sectors.

Prior to that, he worked at Laing O’Rourke for 14 years, most recently as a project leader. During his time at the company, Saville led on projects including:

• Alder Hey Children’s Health Park PFI
• Blackburn, Darwen & Bolton BSF PFI
• Greater Manchester Police PFI
