A 54-year-old man developed asthma and angina during treatment with oxymetazoline for excess nasal secretion following a tonsillectomy and tongue reduction surgery.
The man, who had essential hypertension and hyperlipidaemia, presented to hospital with a day's history of retrosternal chest pain.
