ABSTRACT
This descriptive research aims to study the retired investors' information seeking behaviors while they are deciding on investments in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). Information sources, information seeking methods, types of information resources, contents and use of sought information, problems faced by the retired investors as an information seeker, and factors in the selection of information sources are six aspects to be found out after the survey. The questionnaire was used to collect the data from a hundred of Thai retired investors visiting the SET Library and the event called 'SET in the City 2014.' The significant findings show that most retired investors sought information from mass media, watched TV programs about a stock analysis, read printed handbooks to look for stock priced indexes, and applied sought information to their stock investment plans. Even though every problem of information seeking were rated in moderate and low levels only, lack of information search training had the highest mean value. Coverage of information obtained from a source was also considered as a major factor in the selection of such information source among the survey respondents.

1. INTRODUCTION
The growth of the senior population in Thailand, just like many developed and developing countries, has increased dramatically in the 21th century. When people get older and live longer, they have undoubtedly more needs of maintaining financial stability to guarantee that they will not be confronted by poverty risks. A number of Thai people reaching retirement age therefore tend to make huge savings or spend more money on investment. Stocks are regarded as good-long investment for the retirees who either want to grow their personal funds from returns of investment or to make much profit from selling their own securities in the stock market. However, most Thai retirees prefer investing in low risk securities to purchasing high risk securities by comparison with a group of younger investors. With respect to the retirees' decision-making on low- risk investments, these investors have to seek, collect, analyze, and interpret some pieces of investment information before accurately deciding whether to purchase securities in the stock market.
