Corporate users of applications using IBM's System Object Model will be able to grab data and objects from a much wider range of platforms later this year, according to an announcement last week by IBM and Iona Technologies Inc.
Dublin, Ireland-based Iona also announced an agreement with Apple Computer Inc. to support connectivity between OpenDoc-based applications and Iona's Common Object Request Broker Architecture-compliant Orbix object request broker.
