Abstract

The British Medical Journal recording the reception given in the spring of 1953 by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons to their guest of honour, Sir Harold Gillies, said: "...a memorable occasion, worthy of his prodigious reputation as artist, golfer, motorist, oarsman, humorist and surgeon."
