Salim Kassam leads marketing at expanding Sandman Hotels
Salim Kassam, vice-president of marketing for the Sandman hotels, Inns & Suites, has pretty much been around hotels his whole life. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, his father managed hotels in London, Normandy and Wales. His first job at age 14 was working for his father as a "carrot peeler" at the Georgia hotel in Vancouver, so while a hotel career isn't much of a leap given his background, marketing was a tad unusual.
