Detroit Creative chief Gary Topolewski departs BBDO
Gary Topolewski, the chief creative officer at BBDO Detroit, has left the agency barely one year into the post.
The departure comes as the BBDO network makes changes to its creative reporting responsibilities, with creative directors at the Detroit office now reporting to the BBDO North America chairman and chief creative officer, David Lubars (pictured).
BBDO Detroit handles creative duties on DaimlerChrysler's $1.6 billion account, including the brands Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep.
New York Fortune and CNN merge business websites
The Time Warner brands Fortune and CNN are merging their online business services under the cnntnoney.com banner. The joint venture will be launched in January 2006.
The website will incorporate content from CNN- and Fortune-branded sites, including business2.com, fortune.com and fsb.com. and will include dairy news, market analysis, stock market news and comment.
According to Nielsen/NetRatings, the total number of users for the combined sites in July was 9.2 million.
Vivek Shah, the general manager of the Fortune/Money group, will oversee business operations, while Chris Peacock, the executive editor of cnnmoney.com, will handle the editorial content.
New York VF Corp reviews $110m media account
The US clothes manufacturer VF Corp is looking to consolidate its $110 million media account, which is spread across numerous shops, into a single agency.
Roster agencies involved in the review include Mediaedge:cia. Media Planning Group, OMD and Optimedia. It is unknown whether the manufacturer will be looking at any agencies not currently on...
