HEWLETT-PACKARD SCANJET
HP's ScanJet took the CRN Vision Award for best scanner in a clean sweep, as 36.8 percent of the resellers polled cited it as the industry's best scanner.
Microtek Lab Inc.'s line of ScanMaker scanners came in second, with 15.2 percent of the resellers polled nominating it as the best scanner available on the market. LogiTech Inc.'s ScanMan came in next, named by 9.4 percent of the resellers.
With its ScanJet products, HP offers users a line of color and gray-scale flatbed scanners. The latest ScanJet is the IIcx, priced at $1,179, which has 1,600-dpi enhanced resolution and 400-dpi optical resolution for image and text scanning.
