DayStar Digital Inc. entered the Macintosh clone market, spelling good news for VARs and integrators that customize systems and for high-end customers eager to expand their systems' power.
"We are looking at creating what is, in essence, a $30,000 SGI {Silicon Graphics Inc.} level product in a $10,000 box," said Andrew Lewis, DayStar's chief executive.
He is confident in DayStar's ability to compete with other companies that have announced licensing the Mac OS: Radius Inc....
