Hewlett-Packard Co.'s new printer could even be perceived as a copier-a mistaken identity that may help the company.
The product, which will be introduced with three more conventional printers next month, according to reseller sources familiar with HP's plans, is part of the Palo Alto manufacturer's broad strategy to expand its already commanding share in the static document-output arena by making inroads into the copier marketplace.
