IXI VISIONWARE, A DIVISION OF THE Santa Cruz Operation (SCO) Inc., is shipping new X Windows server software for PCs running Microsoft Windows, including Windows NT and Windows 95.
The product, XVision 6, is designed for environments with a mixture of PCs and Unix servers, and it is transparent to those accessing Unix applications from Windows systems, company officials said. XVision 6 is the first product the company released since SCO, Santa Cruz, combined IXI and Visionware under its umbrella. SCO acquired the two companies over the last two years.
