As IMPRESSIVE as the new Pentium II systems were a year or so ago when compared with machines based on the plain Pentium processor, so too are the BX-based systems when compared with earlier Pentium Is. What sets these systems apart from predecessors is the new BX chipset from Intel Corp. that bumps up the system bus speed from 66MHz to 100MHz and allows CPUs to run at speeds as fast as 400MHz.
