EMC incents Veritas Net Backup client's to switch to upgraded solution
EMC is strengthening its Legato NetWorker and Dantz Retrospect data protection software solutions and offering incentives to entice Veritas Net Backup customers to switch to NetWorker.
NetWorker 7.2, which EMC plans to unveil this week, now handles backing up data to any NAS devices that support the Network Data Management Protocol (NDMP) standard, including EMC's Celera and Network Appliance Filers, said Rob Emsley, director of software product marketing at the Hopkinton, Mass., vendor.
