The CRN Test Center has found that Microsoft's forthcoming Windows XP does not support the copying of CDs-a function used often by solution providers.
Furthermore, the operating system, which has been touted by Microsoft for its digital-media capabilities, does not support DVD playback out of the box.
Instead, Windows XP requires a third-party codec, Test Center engineers found.
