The overwhelming issue most integrators have when setting up a wireless network solution is that most vendors only excel in one aspect of the total solution. Whether it is on the hardware, software or service side, many integrators say the major wireless vendors are lacking in at least one area.
Netgear recently launched a product line that promises to make up for these shortcomings and provide full wireless networking solutions for SMBs.
The company's ProSafe 24 Port 10/100 Layer 3 Managed Switch (FSM7326P) and ProSafe 802.1Ig Wireless Access Point (WG302] give integrators the tools necessary to satisfy the needs of SMBs while at the same time providing the path for a migration to a larger installed base.
The ProSafe product line includes extensive management capabilities, especially in the access points. The APs provide Radius authentication and support 802.Ix security features, 802.111 and AES encryption. These features are usually reserved for enterprise-class technology.
