SOUTH FORT WORTH - Ball Corp., the nation's largest manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans, plans to build a
164,000-square-foot warehouse at its Fort Worth plant, company officials said.
Ball Corp.'s board of directors approved the approximately $5 million project last week, said Scott McCarty, a Ball Corp. spokesman at the corporation's Broomfield, Colo., headquarters.
However, McCarty said, several other issues must be worked out before the project moves forward. He declined to be specific on the issues.
Current plans call for the warehouse to be built on the south end of Ball Corp.'s existing facility at 6600 Will Rogers Blvd. in Carter Industrial Park, said Glenn Jost, plant manager at- the Fort Worth facility.
