LANCASTER - Lancaster's City Council has voted to shell out $180,000 for a little league field. The Royce Clayton Youth Baseball Field is part of the Texas Rangers community baseball program and the latest addition to a $15 million recreational complex which broke ground on Dallas Avenue, just south of Cedar Valley Community Co Ilege campus, last Saturday.
The project is just one of the visible signs of Lancaster's growing popularity, said Kirk Clennan, executive director of the Lancaster Economic Development Corp.
This year, eight businesses have relocated to, or expanded in the
29.2-square-mile community located 15 minutes south of downtown Dallas.
