Born in Breslau, Germany, Heinrich Panofka first studied violin and composition and after several concert tours as a violinist took up the study of singing with Bordogni in Paris. Devoting himself to voice teaching thereafter, he taught in Paris, London, and Florence. He was also involved in the management of opera companies and wrote music reviews, as well as vocal treatises and several singing methods. This new edition of two of Panofka's vocalise methods contains notes on the composer/teacher and two CDs of accompaniments played by Alberto Mondini, Italian pianist/coach....
