Pucker up... Two thousand plucky couples braved chapped lips and stiff necks to claim a world record for the biggest mass "snogathon" at the annual Erotica festival at Olympia in November.
In attendance, but mercifully not participating, were Neil and Christine Hamilton, who opened the show, and stayed on to pick up some free samples. Vice squad officers from Scotland Yard personally inspected the 200 stalls before the festival opened to the public, picking over a bewildering array of bondage furniture and erotic photography.
Hopefully they weren't too distracted by the show's centrepiece - a medley of music pulsating at 33 hertz, the frequency that allegedly triggers the female orgasm (What's that? - ed). This may help to explain why Mrs Hamilton was looking so amused, but Diary thinks a short sit down may be in order.
