As a record producer, mixer, and engineer, Dave Ogilvie has spent time with numerous bands and artists. Currently working out of Garth Richardson's studio, The Farm, Ogilvie has been perfecting and moulding albums that have graced radio stations and topped several music charts.
After 25 years as a producer and mixer, Ogilvie has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Skinny Puppy, Tool, and Nine Inch Nails. During the first steps of his career, he spent time in Montreal to attend a year of college for a general music program.
"I didn't really learn anything, but I met a wonderful professor named Lindsay Kidd," recalls Ogilvie. "After a year he thought that the program was just a big scam to get money, which some of the schools are, and he moved to Vancouver. About three months later, I got a call asking me to do a job. I just had to pack everything up and move to Vancouver."
