Lawrence Martin Brammer, president of Division 17 (Counseling Psychology) of the American Psychological Association (APA) from 1986 to 1987 and Fellow of the Society for Counseling Psychology, died in Seattle, Washington, on November 4, 2018, at age 96. Over his long career, he received many awards and made major contributions to the field, including extensive international work, a breakthrough theories text with Everett Shostrom, and two terms of service on the APA Council of Representatives.
