Acclaimed producer Bruce Fairbairn died suddenly at his Vancouver home on May 17th. He was 49.
Born in Vancouver in December 1949, Bruce learned how to play the trumpet at the age of five, and by his teen years was heading up a series of R&B bands. In the '60s he met Sunshyne drummer Jim Vallance, who is best known for his work with Bryan Adams. Together, they produced a demo tape that resulted in the formation of the group Prism.
