Jim and Iva Ballard know that their company saves lives.
They know that when someone is critically injured in a car wreck or is suffering a heart attack or stroke, that patient and that patient's friends and family are depending on them.
Especially if they are a long way from a hospital.
The Ballards own EagleMed, a statewide air ambulance service that can fly patients to care in a helicopter or an airplane.
