In the electoral circles of the Azores, Coimbra, Guarda and Leiria, the sum of the white and null votes in the Sunday legislatures exceeded, for the first time since 1976, the 5% bar.
According to the EyeData portal, based on official results and available at www.lusa.pt, since the elections of 1976, the white and void votes had never totaled more than 5% in a constituency in Portugal.
However, in these elections the sum of whites and nulls was more than 5% in four of them: Azores, Coimbra, Guarda and Leiria.
