The Executive Group at Ajilon LLC, a Towson-based technical staffing and consulting firm, entered the limelight last fall when it formed an alliance with Incube8.com, a local technology business accelerator. But this wasn't your average business alliance.
In addition to agreeing to manage executive recruiting needs for Incube8 and its portfolio companies, Ajilon sweetened the deal with a $1 million infusion of cash. The deal caught the eye of industry watchers around the region as they examined what the deal meant for Incube8. But what does the deal mean for Ajilon, a national firm that reported more than $1.6 billion worldwide in sales in 2000?
It means partnerships, and when you have a relationship-driven business philosophy, that's what counts.
"If you build the relationship appropriately, the other elements of the relationship fall into place naturally," said Dennis Eppley, senior vice president of Ajilon's Executive Group. "We are building for the long term."
