Abstract

As always in small libraries, one's efforts to learn techniques will yield knowledge for librarians and greater service possibilities for one's patrons. Roberts discusses the value of learning server-side scripting. Furthermore, he compare and contrast the most popular scripting languages that are used to create truly dynamic service-oriented Web sites, building a conceptual framework that one can use as a starting point for one's specific server-side library project.
